News

Our communications intern, Alex, will be finishing up her fundraising efforts for THON very soon. On January 22nd, Alex and her partner Cecilia will submit their names into the THON Independent Dancer lottery system in the hopes to be picked to dance in THON Weekend of 2019. With our contribution, we can help Alex secure a couple tickets in the lottery and increase her chances of getting picked. To donate or read more about their efforts, check out Alex's fundraising page.

To leave you all with something that will stay with you this holiday: Penn State released a video for their undergraduate students, reminding the community that Penn State will always be home. I think we can all agree that no matter how far away we are from Happy Valley, Penn State will always be home to us Nittany Lions.

For those who haven't gotten a chance to read Charles Glazer's article for The Grand Strand Magazine, we suggest you check it out. We thank Charles for highlighting our club's efforts along with the many other amazing organizations in the Grand Strand area.

Tara Hall is one of the various charity organizations we work with and their director, Jim Dumm, celebrates 40 years with the non profit. For those who don't know, Jim is a fellow Penn Stater! Check out this great article on his history with the organization and his commitment to families in need.

A FUN FACT to leave you all with: The Penn State Myrtle Beach Chapter has officially surpassed a membership of 200 individuals. This is the first time our membership has seen numbers like this so we would like to thank everyone for their commitment to the club and the everlasting love for our dear Old State.
